Long-Term Vision

Multiplayer

Real-time co-op and competitive tower defence — the biggest evolution of Max TD yet.

Why this exists

I have played tower defence for as long as I can remember. When the genre moved to the phone, most of what I found there stopped me before I started. An account first, or a timer counting down to when I would be allowed to play again.

What I wanted was simpler. Something I could open on the train, play for ten minutes, and put away. No download, no sign-up, no energy bar deciding when I am done.

So I built it.

I also wanted it to be hard. Max TD is a strategy game first. You never aim and you never move. You spend gold, and every run is the same question asked a different way: what next? Get that wrong and the wave comes through. Every stage brings a challenge of its own, and the build that carried you through the last one will not carry you through the next. That is the point.

The progress you keep between runs follows the same rule. Every permanent upgrade costs diamonds, and diamonds are earned by playing: from kills, from achievements, from account levels. Whatever you want in the skill tree, you can grind your way to it. Nothing in there is reserved for people who pay.

Everything else on this page is the list of what it still needs. There is no studio behind this and no publisher setting these dates. Just someone who likes the genre enough to keep building.
